PvP Rules
Every guild that existed before this change is treated as an RPG Guild, and every new guild starts RPG. On the PvP Realm, the guild leader can switch to WAR immediately and permanently. Open Guild Choice below to see exactly what each path means.

Guild choiceRPG Guild or WAR Guild?Existing guilds are RPG · New guilds start RPG · WAR is permanent+
- Existing & new guilds
- Every guild that already existed is now an RPG Guild. Every newly created guild also starts RPG. Members, levels, bank, bonuses, and war history stay unchanged.
- RPG Guild
- For guilds that want to hunt, quest, and progress without guild wars. RPG Guilds cannot declare, receive, or be forced into a war.
- WAR Guild
- Can declare wars, receive challenges, and be targeted by forced wars from other WAR Guilds. WAR does not mean the guild is always fighting; it can be idle between wars.
- Switching to WAR
- Only the guild leader can make the change on the PvP Realm. It happens immediately, costs nothing, and is permanent. There is no switch back to RPG.
- No-PvP guilds
- Always remain RPG Guilds and cannot switch to WAR.
- During an active war
- Enemy guild kills score for the war and give no unjustified frags or new skulls. Both sides can use exiva on each other. Battle lock and normal death loss still apply; only dedicated PvP-zone deaths are loss-free.
PvP rulesSkulls & fragsWhite 15m · Red 3 / 10 / 20+
- White skull
- Lasts 15 minutes after attacking an unmarked player.
- Red skull
- 3 unjustified kills in 24 hours, 10 in 7 days, or 20 in 30 days gives a red skull for 7 days.
- Banishment
- 5 unjustified kills in 24 hours, 15 in 7 days, or 30 in 30 days gives a 4-day ban.
- Guild wars
- During an active guild war, fighting the enemy guild gives no unjustified frags or new skulls. Both sides can use exiva on each other, enemies show guild emblems, and kills count toward the score. Normal battle lock still applies.
PvP rulesDeath & protection5 blessings + Death Blessing = full item protection+
- Experience & skills
- Death loss depends on your level, promotion, blessings, and whether it was an unfair fight.
- Backpack & equipment
- On a normal death without item protection, you lose your backpack and each equipped item, including your quiver, has a 10% chance to drop. All five regular blessings plus Death Blessing protect everything like AOL. Old one-use AOLs still work.
- When protection fails
- Item protection does not work with a red skull, black skull, or Permadeath.
- War deaths
- War kills do not count as unjustified kills, but they still carry normal death loss. Only dedicated PvP-zone deaths are loss-free.
- PvP zones
- You do not drop loot or lose skills when you die in a PvP zone.
- Death Blessing
- Death Blessing gives double experience and skill gain until you recover what was lost. With all five regular blessings, it also protects your items like AOL.
PvP rulesTargeting & multi-clientManual map aim · Max 3 clients+
- Manual rune aim
- You cannot use runes on players through the battle list. Aim runes on the map instead.
- What still works
- You can still use runes on yourself and monsters, and use potions and other items normally.
- PvP and No-PvP
- Both players must be on the PvP side to attack each other. PvP zones may have their own death rules.
- Multi-client
- You may use up to three clients at once. Characters opened by the same player cannot work together in combat, blocking, healing, or other active PvP or PvE play.
PvP bonusesWhat affects PvP?Damage · Defense · Criticals · Speed+
Your build can change how you perform against other players.
- Damage against playersYour vocation, gear, upgrades, race and Mastery bonuses, guild bonuses, global PvP bonuses, and some trinkets can raise your damage against players.
- Player protectionArmor, defenses, upgrades, race and Mastery bonuses, guild bonuses, and permanent character bonuses can raise your protection against players.
- Critical hitsItem rarity, character progress, Talents, and Weapon Proficiency can raise your critical chance and damage.
- Attack speed & spell cooldownsItem rarity, guild bonuses, and Weapon Proficiency can improve your attack speed and spell cooldowns.
- Talents & Weapon ProficiencyMost extra damage from Talents and Weapon Proficiency only works on monsters. Their permanent bonuses still work in PvP.
- Where bonuses come fromPvP bonuses can come from your vocation, race, guild, trinkets, Mastery, Paragon, rarity, talents, and Weapon Proficiency.
